Dr Animesh Mishra is a leading and experienced gastroenterologist providing specialist care for conditions affecting the digestive system, liver and pancreas. Dr Mishra first qualified as a specialist gastroenterologist in 2010. He combines meticulous endoscopic expertise with a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to patient care.

Dr Mishra provides thorough consultations, clear communication and a commitment to understanding each patient’s individual concerns before developing a tailored management plan.

Dr Mishra consults at Gastroenterology Clinics Gold Coast in Benowa and Tugun. He performs procedures at multiple locations including Pindara Private Hospital, John Flynn Private Hospital, Miami Private Hospital and Pacific Private Hospital. Dr Mishra completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2000 with First Class Honours, reflecting outstanding academic achievement among his medical peers.

Before specialising in gastroenterology, he trained and practised as a General Practitioner. His work as a GP allowed him to develop a broad understanding of whole-person care and how gastrointestinal conditions affect overall health. This experience further taught Dr Mishra that the foundation of good medicine is careful listening. Symptoms don’t occur in isolation — they affect work, family, confidence and overall wellbeing.

He later completed specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Sydney at two of Australia’s leading teaching hospitals with highly respected specialist training programs:

Dr. Mishra is actively involved in medical education and teaches students in the Bond University Medical Program. He also regularly presents at general practice education events, providing practical and evidence based updates in gastroenterology and hepatology to his colleagues.
